On a visit to the Hadassah Medical Center in November, delegates from Villiers le Bel, France were addressed by Dr. Michel Nadjari, head of the Hadassah Medical Center’s Ultrasound Department, who told them about Hadassah’s latest high-technology ultrasound equipment, which is enabling Hadassah to save more lives. They also were briefed on the important role Hadassah plays in sharing expertise with colleagues worldwide, and Hadassah’s extensive outreach to the Palestinian community.
Dr. Nadjari related that he regularly receives medical files from physicians all over the world asking for his opinion and that global collaboration in his field has been ongoing for a long time.
The delegates were given a comprehensive picture of the collaborations between Hadassah’s health professionals and their Palestinian colleagues, including: « Peace in Sight » with St. John’s Eye Hospital in East Jerusalem; « Heart for Peace, » a project to correct heart defects in Palestinian children; and Hadassah’s Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Department’s work with Augusta Victoria Hospital in East Jerusalem to create the first Palestinian Pediatric Center.
